Best North Miami Beach Wedding Portrait Locations
North Miami Beach packs a surprising range of backdrops into a short drive, from mangrove rivers to wide Atlantic sand to mid-century streets. After a ceremony at a venue like the Chabad Russian Center, a little planning turns that variety into a portrait session that feels effortless. Here is where we go.
Oleta River State Park
Minutes from the venue, Oleta is the largest urban park in Florida: mangrove tunnels, quiet shoreline, and dappled light off the water. It is the most natural, secluded option nearby, and the green light flatters everyone. Late afternoon keeps the sun soft.
Haulover and the Atlantic sand
For open sky and surf, the beaches along Haulover and Surfside give you horizon and room to move. This is where you go for the classic oceanfront frame, with the couple against pure blue. Wind picks up here, so we shoot stills quickly and let the film breathe.
Bal Harbour and the Intracoastal
Just south, Bal Harbour brings manicured landscaping, palms, and calm Intracoastal water with boats drifting past. It reads polished and bright, a nice contrast to the wild mangroves, and the still water gives clean reflections at golden hour.
Greynolds Park
For something historic and green, Greynolds Park offers an old stone tower, a lagoon, and heavy oak canopy. It is a quieter, characterful spot when you want texture and shade rather than open beach.
Timing and how we shoot it
Reserve the half hour before sunset for couple portraits and choose one or two locations rather than racing across the city. We scout the light in advance and run photo and video together, so one camera catches the still while the other lets a slow take breathe, and the gallery and film share the same evening light.
