Jupiter Wedding Sunset Timing Guide
On Florida’s Atlantic coast the light has a particular rhythm, and Jupiter is no exception. The beach faces east, so the ocean glows at sunrise while the warm, golden color at the end of the day falls on the dunes and inland water. Timing a Jupiter wedding around that is what turns a nice evening into the frames you keep. Here is how we think about it.
Know which way you face
Jupiter’s beaches look east over the Atlantic, so the sun rises over the water and sets behind you, inland toward the Intracoastal and the Loxahatchee. The richest sunset color often lands on the dunes, the lighthouse, and the inlet rather than over the open ocean — plan portraits accordingly.
Sunset shifts through the year
Expect sunset near 5:30 in December and close to 8:20 in June. A timeline copied from another season will be hours off, so anchor your schedule to the real sunset time on your date.
The golden window
Reserve the thirty to forty-five minutes before sunset for portraits. On the beach the sand turns warm and the sky softens; the lighthouse and inlet pick up beautiful color. Protect that window before anything else on the timeline.
Plan for wind and dark
The oceanfront is breezy, so plan hair, makeup, and lightweight decor with that in mind. After sunset the beach goes dark quickly, so budget for lighting that keeps the reception comfortable and lets your photo and video team keep working cleanly.
